Is Now The Time To End The Iraq-Afghanistan Wars & Wage A New Manhunt For Bin Laden?

advertisement

There are a lot of people today with ideas about "mighta, shoulda, coulda or woulda" things we may have done after 9-11…only if we would've had a different President other than Bush.

Might had we chased Bin Laden and not Saddam Hussein? Might we have sent specials ops teams in to infiltrate and snuff out those in leadership roles of Al-Qaida rather than creating two war fronts one in Afghanistan and the other in Iraq?

Probably had we had sensible direction we would have went after the guy waving his arms up in the air screaming at us almost daily through various foreign medias…

"Hey I'm the one that did it…you silly bastards!"

Instead Americans at their most vulnerable time since Pearl Harbor gave way to grief, anger and blame and was willing to take any retaliatory strike available against any viable target.

Enter stage right- Bush and Cheney. Who saw their chance to advance the current Administrations policy on Iraq and like greased lightening Colin Powell stood before the U.N. in contempt and shamed the legacy he had built for himself. To hear Powell speak of it today he describes the utter filth he felt being a part of the scheme but as he puts it...he was locked in.

I don't know that President Obama will be the smooth kid in foreign affairs that he was on the street. But he does have game plan. It's just that no one knows what it is. And that seems to be the most annoying parts of this Administration even to the Democrats and some members of his staff.

Still Obama, has once chance to get it right and that is bring Bin Laden's head home in a paper sack...something that the Bush and Company failed miserably at trying to accomplish for the elder Bush man. Once President Obama accomplishes such a mission…he can withdraw every troop from the Middle East and be untouchable in the polls come election time!

So if he does happen to find Osama's body laid out in a cave… Rahm Emanuel best put old Osama on ice or bag his head and stick in the freezer until campaign time because that is when it is going to come in handy as hell.

There is that old saying keep your friends close and your enemies' closer...perhaps this is President Obama's "game plan". Somehow I can see Hugo Chavez picking up a phone at two in the morning and calling Barry to say…

"Hey my buddy over in Iran says Osama is playing pool with the boys at the Goats~Whore Bar this very moment…I gotcha the GPS tracking codes they are..."

These of course are my illusions…suggestive of how Obama may try to swing some buds in to throwing him a few balls by accident…if you know what I mean… and this (hypothetically) for no other reason than Obama made Chavez look good to the Venezuelan people through photo ops. Nothing builds esteem in a leader like Chavez better than extra ego waffles served by a U.S. President.

We're 9 months in to this Presidency and I am not ready to calculate what this Commander-N-Chief is leaving to mark his legacy. There is an election in just over 3 years it is then my crystal ball will have 20-20 vision.

Until then I stick by my original proclamation.

"If we can't go in and 'Give them Hell' burning the whole joint to the ground if that is what it takes to accomplish the mission…then let's get our troops the hell out of there! "

We should not have troops left stranded in mountains and surrounded by the Taliban while air support radios them back to say that they are…

"Sorry but there is a shortage on choppers and air support is unavailable today and you're just going to have to wait!"

The people in Iraq have had time to build twenty pyramids and six multi-tier camel hitching garages throughout the metropolis of Bagdad and Sadr Cities. Besides once we leave they will quit bombing everything, kill off their elderly, weak and sick and rebuild their own country without any more money from the United States Citizens deficit account.

Face it folks! It is time to either go in to Dodge City Afghanistan, shooting from the hip. Holding tightly the bridle reigns gripped between your teeth. All the while slinging a 30-30 Winchester in the other hand and cussing silently while holding your breath…as you take on the devils dung face to face!

It is either that or accept its best for the United States to let its military stand down and plan perhaps another strategy…like the one that should have been used in the first place!

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Man! You're deep in it, aren't you. You've made great points for what you've shown to know. Here's a little some thing from a dummy. The stewards of the Earth are all puppets, pleased in the way things are and is going, they all do what it takes to keep themselves in power, looking great , while at the same time, everyone else in chaos. All pretenders in a great play the way I read it. Had they wanted Osama, do you honestly think they could not have found him by now? If we got photographers finding Taliban and taking posing snap shots, following them around for documentories; while at the same time, we'reconstantly hearing reports about and from top personels saying,"unable to find the Taliban or they are illusive, etc?" Come on? Nobody could be that dense not to see what's going on? Are they? I guess such a thing is powerful enough to get us all forgetting that we live in slavery to a system controlled by money launderer, deal makers, etc.
